About Me

My photo
I'm a habitual line crosser that believes everything happens for a reason, but life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, no second chances, you just have to live life to the fullest. Laugh as much as you can, spend all your money, tell someone what they mean to you, tell someone off, speak out, dance in the pouring rain, hold someone's hand, comfort a friend, love the ones who treat you right, forget about the ones who don't, pig out, smile until your face hurts, be a flirt, stay up late and fall asleep watching the sun come up, don't be aftraid to take chances or fall in love . . . and most of all live in the moment, If you get a second chance, grab it with both hands. If it changes your life, let it. No one said it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

Interested in Volunteering for Habitat?

The HYP House is underway, and we will need everyone's help to finish so Jessica and her family can move in before the Holidays! We have some great opportunities for volunteering, and we want to offer these to Active HYP Members first.

We will be working on the house every Saturday from now until November 21. Please check your calendar and sign up for the HYP Build volunteer days using the Volunteer Spot link below.

The HYP Build location is 2411 Devonshire Dr. (map and directions) For more information, please contact HYP volunteer coordinator, Jeremy Turner, at 512.577.5191 or jwedgwood2001@gmail.com.

Remember that this is the reason we worked so hard this year. Lets make a family's dreams come true!

Thanks so much, and I look forward to seeing you on site!

VERY IMPORTANT: If you have not volunteered with Austin Habitat For Humanity this year, you will need to register online. Instructions are noted below:

Volunteers who have registered on-line don't need to re-register each year (if you have completed on-line orientation/registration in the past two years, then you are covered - you may want to update your contact info though). However, EVERY volunteer must submit the Liability Waiver, annually. So EVERY volunteer must submit a new liability waiver for 2009. The waiver is available on-line here, and hard copies are always on each job site. If you choose to circulate this waiver, please include a note that anyone who has not registered and completed orientation on-line in the past two years, must still do so. Let me know if you have questions on the paperwork/registration process.

All information on Volunteer on-line orientation/registration and waivers can be found here: http://www.austinhabitat.org/volunteer/index.php
